The story behind this record: I discovered Pete´s track when browsing
through the music files on widerstand.org where I downloaded tons of crappy tunes with descriptions like "hey,
I make music since 2 days and tried to make a jungle-Breakcore tune."
Awful. But within these 80 files there was this track which
caused my eyes turning red, adrenaline rushing through my veins and I sweat coming out of my pores. In other words: total FRENZY!
DEV/NULL made this unique mixture of orchestral melodies with totally
destroyed, very distorted and extremely fast breaks. This is the hell
of a Breakcore
track.
In that same time period I just finished a Speedcore/Mash Up-track with a tune
of the German mid-1980s-Thrash Metal band
"Holy Moses" (you never would except that the singer is female
indeed). Fast Gabber-Bassdrums and some breaks on top to go-go-go. 2
hot tunes that were perfect to be put on a 7inch together - which I did. A
coincidence: Both tracks have Asian references in their track titles.
Tracklist:
A1: DEV/NULL - Bolt Thrower in a Chinese Restaurant
B1: LFO DEMON - Vietcong Bam Bam
